SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Creganna-Tactx Medical is actively seeking a General Accounting Manager. This position will ensure compliance with all financial related regulations applicable, in the U.S. This role will provide leadership and direction to an internal staff, and be responsible for the selection, motivation and oversight of that staff.
The General Accounting Manager will possess outstanding finance operational experience and skills. This will include the demonstrated ability to design and implement finance and accounting processes, while providing positive motivation. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on, team oriented approach to the department’s goals and objectives.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Bachelor of Accounting (B.A. / B.S.)
7+years experience in general accounting with 3 years supervisory experience
CPA with 4 years audit experience
Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS would be an advantage
Demonstrable experience of working in management accounting or financial management
Good knowledge of budgeting and forecasting issues and techniques.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts
Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close and prepare financial management reports in accordance with prescribed deadlines
Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures
Continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities
Develop and maintain financial databases
Assume primary responsibility for the coordination and support of the financial statement audit process
Ensure accurate and timely recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
Analyze and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends and financial commitments
Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial issues
Monitor the company’s cash and investments position and assist with the preparation of cash forecasts
Monitor income tax issues and provide supporting documentation for the preparation of the income tax returns
Prepare property and sales taxes tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements
Play a key role in the implementation and development of the Company’s ERP systems.
