We specialize in serving professional builders, contractors and consumers; both residential and commercial. Located in southern Kentucky, Lumber King operates six full service building material supply facilities along with one truss plant serving many areas of Kentucky and Tennessee. In 1992, Lumber King became an employee owned company (ESOP), enabling all employees to have a vested interest and share in the success of our company.
We are currently seeking a Sr. Building Material Manager. As the Sr. Building Material Manager you will be part of executive team management and contribute to the overall success and stability of the company. You will assist in maximizing the operational and financial performance while enhancing the overall quality of the company’s infrastructure. The Sr. Building Manager will also work directly with the local management to assist them in achieving their goals, including: sales, expense management, accounts receivable and personnel objectives. Please note, this position is located in South Central Kentucky. Relocation assistance is available.
Responsibilities of the Sr. Building Materials Manger
Management and oversight of 6 Lumber King Locations
Responsibility for the sales, profitability and growth for company
Plan, develop and implement of strategies for generating revenues
Collaborate directly with location managers to perform physical inventories and to manage forecasting and budgeting process
Requirements
Requirements of the Sr. Building Materials Manager
Minimum of ten years’ experience in retail building material operations
Knowledgeable of contracting, negotiating and purchasing building products
Previous Budgeting experience
Previous Management experience
Multi location experience preferred
Bachelor’s degree a plus
Good oral and written communication skills in English
A strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction at all times
