JOB DESCRIPTION 

 

Privately held technology firm in Alpharetta is seeking a Production Support Engineer for their growing team!  You will assist in representing Production Support to the organization ensuring high-availability and the ability to identify customer-facing issues is included in the development and deployment of new products and services.  

 

We will look to this person to identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement with regards to incident management, fault monitoring, triage procedures and issue escalation.  You will do log searching using Splunk, impact management, root cause analysis and report findings to Management and clients. You will ensure timely execution of scheduled and repeatable processes such as system validations, daily triage, system monitoring and event log management.  You will deploy code through the validation stack and into production.  You will work as back office developoer and pm tools implementation and support.  You will assist in the automation of customer ops tasks and ensuring their requirements with outward facing customers are completed in a timely fashion (order reconciliation). You will participate in after hours call facilitation, coordination and communications during critical outage situations. 

 

Ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technology related field.  You must have proven track record of application or production support, problem solving, excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.  Must have a solid understanding of all applications, equipment and software and the ability to effectively identify, triage and drive resolution of incidents, assist in change management and deployment support.  Strong hands-on technical experience is a huge plus, particularly with Linux/Unix, Network, & Storage system administration.  Any experience with JIRA or other Service Desk tools is a plus as is scripting or programming background.  This is a contract-to-perm position in Alpharetta.  Business casual (jeans everyday) environment, sharp peer group, excellent benefits and technology focused company working with cutting edge technology.  Need is IMMEDIATE!
