Human Resources Partner

Requirements: Islamic Relief Worldwide (Birmingham) and Islamic Relief UK (IR UK: London) are currently recruiting for the positions of Human Resources Business Partner to maximise the impact of our work and to partner with IRW divisions and departments to contribute to the organisations endeavour to deliver on its corporate strategy. The job holder will be required to work autonomously with limited supervision and be able to effectively contribute to both operational and strategic HR projects and customer needs, by drawing on their experience and strong analytical skills.
Reporting to the Head of Head Resources of IRW (London candidate has reporting to IRUK as well), the successful candidates should have a degree in a management or social science related field, preferably in HRM or Business Studies. A post graduate qualification will be an advantage. A CIPD or equivalent professional qualification is required, although extensive and relevant HR experience may be considered in place.
S(H)e should also have proven experience in managing complex HR projects ranging from performance management, employee relations, policy and systems development, change management and employment law. The successful candidate is expected to be a strong problem solver who is able to analyse data to reach sound conclusions through experience, research and assessment techniques.
Some knowledge of Arabic will be an advantage though not essential. Knowledge of French or one of the Indian subcontinent national languages will also be positively considered.
The HRBP role in IRW (based in Birmingham), works with the central HR department which oversees HR services at the international office and internationally. IRUK (based in London) is a strategic business unit of IRW, which primarily oversees national fundraising operations; the HRBP for IRUK would support national staff HR needs, working under the Head of Services on a day to day basis, while retaining a dotted reporting relationship with the Head of HR at IRW.
