About Muslim Community Center of South Dakota
Founded in 2010, the Muslim Community Center of South Dakota (MCCSD) has grown into the largest and most active Islamic center in South Dakota. Located in Sioux Falls, MCCSD serves a large Muslim community in the upper Midwest. From its 15,000 sq. ft. home, MCCSD hosts Jumuah prayers, Eid and Taraweeh programs, an Islamic Sunday School, youth activities, interfaith dialogues, and a broad array of community programs. The center operates according to the Sunni school of thought and holds as a foundational commitment: to advance Islam as a way of life, to serve the Muslim community of the region, and to build genuine and lasting bridges with our neighbors of all faiths. Over more than a decade, MCCSD has built not just a building but a community -- home to Muslims from every corner of the world, united by faith and a shared commitment to building something meaningful together in the heart of the Northern Plains. What unites us is not where we come from, but what we are building together.
