1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, such as your name, email address, employment history, CV, and profile details. We also automatically collect usage data, including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and the time and date of your visit.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve the platform, match candidates with relevant job opportunities, send job alerts and newsletters (with your consent), communicate with you about your account, process payments, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with employers when you apply to their listings, with service providers who assist in operating the platform (e.g., payment processors, email services), and when required by law. Employers receive only the information necessary to evaluate your application.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and keep your account credentials confidential.
5. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember preferences, and analyse site traffic. You can control cookie settings through your browser. Disabling cookies may affect certain features of the platform.
5.1. Site search
When you search, we keep the words you typed, the number of results, a one-way hash of your IP address and a session token, for 30 days. We use it to see what people look for and to stop one machine counting many times. We do not link searches to your account.
5.2. Weekly job digest
We email a weekly digest of new jobs matched to your profile, unless you opt out. We use your profile details and job preferences to choose which jobs to show — never your search history. You can turn the digest off at any time from your email settings, or with the one-click unsubscribe link in every email.
5.3. Apply with your ummah.me page
If you press "Apply with your ummah.me page" on a job, we send you to UmmahPass for a moment. We ask it for your name and your @name. We also ask for the city, state, country and links that you chose to show on your ummah.me page. We keep a copy of these, and the link to your page, with that one application. The employer sees the copy and a link to your page. The employer also sees the name and email on your UmmahJobs account, as with any application. We do not keep or send anything else from your UmmahPass account. We do not keep the sign-in code that UmmahPass gives us. We do this only when you press the button. If your ummah.me page is private, we do not send the application. We delete the copy when you delete your UmmahJobs account. To ask us to delete it sooner, write to mail@ummahjobs.com. An employer who already saw the copy may have kept it. The copy does not change if you later change your page. The link goes to your live page, so anyone who opens it sees your page as it is at that time.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing activities. To exercise these rights, please contact us at mail@ummahjobs.com. We will respond within 30 days.
