**About Safeena**
Safeena is the UK's leading Muslim cancer support charity, dedicated to ensuring no Muslim facing cancer experiences isolation. The organization provides faith-informed emotional support, peer befriending services, bereavement support, cancer literacy education, and culturally sensitive volunteer programs to Muslims affected by cancer throughout the UK. The charity is currently in the midst of a transformative two-year programme, transitioning from a volunteer-led model to a professionally governed national organization.
**About the Role**
This part-time contract position (22.5 hours per week, 3 days weekly) reports to the Head of Transformation and provides critical operational and communications support. Working fully remotely with occasional travel within the UK, the Administrator will build and maintain the systems, processes, and governance infrastructure that enable volunteers and community teams to deliver dignified, compassionate, and culturally informed cancer support.
**Key Responsibilities**
*Communications & Administration*
- Manage and triage incoming communications; draft and send professional correspondence
- Organize and coordinate meetings, workshops, and community sessions
- Develop agendas and meeting papers; maintain comprehensive action logs and follow-up records
*Documentation & Governance*
- Format, proofread, and prepare reports, presentations, and governance documents
- Maintain project documentation and support board and steering group preparation activities
- Assist with compliance and governance procedures
*Project Support*
- Maintain accurate project records and assist with monitoring and data collection
- Support project onboarding and closedown processes
*General Operations*
- Coordinate senior staff diaries and travel arrangements
- Manage basic financial administration
- Maintain confidentiality and safeguarding standards throughout all duties
**Required Qualifications & Skills**
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Demonstrated experience managing inboxes and coordinating meetings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work independently with sensitive and confidential information
**Desirable Qualifications**
- Background in healthcare, charity, or organizational transformation
- Understanding of culturally competent or faith-informed support models
**Contract Terms**
- Duration: 2 years
- Hours: Part-time, 3 days per week (22.5 hours)
- Location: Fully remote, UK-based, with occasional travel
- Salary: £25,000 pro rata
