The Administrative Assistant supports the daily operations of the school by providing organizational, clerical, and communication support to administration, staff, students, and families. This role serves as a welcoming first point of contact for the school community while upholding professionalism and the Islamic values and mission of the school.
Serve as the primary front office contact for parents, visitors, students, and staff
Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and direct inquiries appropriately
Maintain student records, attendance documentation, and confidential files
Assist with student enrollment, registration, and record transfers
Support daily school operations including scheduling, announcements, and correspondence
Prepare letters, reports, forms, and school communications as directed by administration
Coordinate appointments, meetings, and school events
Assist with dismissal procedures and student sign-in/sign-out processes
Manage office supplies and maintain an organized front office environment
Support teachers and administration with clerical and logistical needs
Maintain confidentiality of student, staff, and family information
Assist with school programs, events, and special activities as needed
Qualifications
Required
Prior administrative, office, or customer service experience
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Google Workspace and basic office technology
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced school environment
Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
Preferred
Experience working in a school setting
Familiarity with student information systems
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
Understanding of or experience within an Islamic school environment
