Muslim Aid USA (MAUSA) seeks an experienced Development Manager to lead and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy for this faith-based humanitarian nonprofit. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will oversee all aspects of the organization's fundraising operation, including community giving initiatives, mid-level and major donor cultivation, corporate outreach, and long-term donor stewardship programs.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop, implement, and manage the annual fundraising plan, tracking performance against revenue targets and KPIs
- Build and maintain relationships with mid-level and major donors through personalized outreach, proposal development, and impact communication
- Manage the complete donor stewardship lifecycle: acknowledgment letters, impact reports, renewal campaigns, and recognition events
- Coordinate with the Digital Marketing team to design and execute fundraising appeals, email campaigns, and digital acquisition strategies
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue institutional grants, corporate sponsorships, matching-gift programs, and foundation funding opportunities
- Use Salesforce CRM to segment donors, track stewardship activities, manage pipelines, and generate performance reports
- Represent MAUSA at community events, masjid fundraisers, and national conventions to build donor networks
- Supervise and coordinate regional fundraising activities, community fundraisers, and fundraising staff or volunteers
- Deliver weekly activity reports and monthly revenue summaries to senior leadership
**Required Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Communications, or related field
- 4–7 years of progressive nonprofit fundraising and/or donor relations experience
- Demonstrated success in cultivating donors, closing gifts, and meeting revenue targets
- Experience supervising or coordinating fundraising team members or volunteers
- Proficiency with donor database and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel nationally 30–50% of the time
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Background in faith-based or Islamic nonprofit organizations
- Knowledge of Islamic philanthropy concepts including zakat, sadaqah, and qurbani
- Grant writing and proposal development experience
- Peer-to-peer and digital fundraising campaign experience
- Corporate partnership development expertise
**Compensation & Benefits:**
Full-time salaried position, $75,000–$85,000 annually. Benefits include 100% employer-paid medical insurance, partial dental and vision coverage, vacation and sick leave, observance of federal and Islamic holidays, 3% employer-funded 401(k) match, and professional development support.
**Work Arrangement:**
