We are seeking an experienced Educational Technology & Systems Lead (ETSL) to oversee and optimise the organisation’s digital education ecosystem, including Classter (Student Information System), Canvas (Learning Management System), and WooCommerce.
This role combines systems administration, process improvement, data management, and user experience design to ensure all educational technology platforms are reliable, integrated, and aligned with organisational objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders and external vendors to implement enhancements, improve workflows, and support the successful launch and operation of the university’s technology infrastructure.
Configure, maintain, and optimise Classter as the organisation’s primary system of record.
Manage user roles, permissions, and access controls.
Serve as the main point of contact with software vendors regarding system issues, updates, and enhancements.
Ensure system stability, reliability, and performance.
Analyse student and staff workflows to identify inefficiencies.
Improve enrolment processes, forms, navigation, and overall user experience.
Create consistent experiences across SIS, LMS, and related systems.
Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Design and implement dashboards and reporting solutions across departments.
Establish data structures, naming conventions, and reporting standards.
Enable access to accurate and actionable data for decision-making.
Improve reporting capabilities and data visibility.
Translate business and operational requirements into technical specifications.
Design and implement transcript structures, grading schemas, and academic workflows.
Test, validate, and verify system configurations before deployment.
Coordinate implementation activities with vendors and stakeholders.
Ensure effective integration between Classter, Canvas, and WooCommerce.
Maintain enrolment, payment, and student access workflows.
Troubleshoot and resolve integration, synchronisation, and data flow issues.
Support authentication and single sign-on (SSO) processes.
Identify opportunities to automate manual processes.
Develop and maintain system documentation, architecture diagrams, and SOPs.
Create documentation that supports long-term operational sustainability.
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Educational Technology, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Experience working with Classter, Canvas, and/or WooCommerce.
Experience in higher education, academic administration, or online learning environments.
Understanding of student records, transcripts, grading systems, and academic compliance.
Experience supporting authentication systems such as Google Workspace, SAML, or OAuth.
Experience improving end-to-end user journeys across multiple integrated platforms.
Strong systems implementation and optimisation skills.
Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
Experience with process improvement initiatives.
Experience implementing educational technology systems.
Knowledge of system integrations and automation workflows.
Experience working with vendor-managed software solutions.
