Islamic Relief Worldwide, a faith-based international humanitarian and development organization operating in over 45 countries, is recruiting a Finance Business Lead for its Finance & Corporate Services Division based in Birmingham, UK.
**Role Overview**
This full-time, permanent position combines traditional financial management with strategic business partnering. You will serve as the primary finance partner for designated business units and global portfolios, bridging finance and operations to deliver financial insights and support to budget holders, project leads, and senior stakeholders across the organization.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Partner directly with non-finance managers to enhance financial literacy and improve decision-making across business units
- Manage institutional grants and donor reporting requirements
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close activities
- Prepare management accounts and conduct in-depth financial analysis
- Support digital transformation of finance functions through ERP system implementation
- Deliver real-time financial insights using modern reporting and data visualization tools
- Maintain financial controls and ensure compliance with organizational and donor requirements
**Required Qualifications**
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Significant experience in financial management and business partnering roles
- Proven grant management and donor reporting expertise
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting
- Solid understanding of month-end processes and financial controls
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-finance audiences
- Commitment to continuous improvement and organizational faith-based values
**Desirable Qualifications**
- Experience with Power BI or data visualization tools
- Knowledge of AI and automation applications in finance
- Project management or analytics qualifications
