Muslim Hands Inc, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is seeking a Finance Manager for its US office located in Valley Stream, New York. The organization works to alleviate poverty in vulnerable communities worldwide, with focus areas including WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene), health, education, food security, livelihood development, and emergency response.
This hybrid, hands-on role combines individual contributor work with managerial responsibilities. The Finance Manager will be responsible for day-to-day financial operations including tracking financial data, managing invoicing, overseeing payroll processing, and reconciling bank statements. You will maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and serve as a key steward of the organization's financial health.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in financial management; familiarity with nonprofit financial regulations and grant management; proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software; and strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities and a collaborative, team-oriented approach are essential.
A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred. This is a full-time, hybrid position offering a flexible schedule, paid time off, and work-from-home options.
