Finance Manager – Full-Time, Hybrid

Muslim Hands USA is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to alleviating poverty among vulnerable communities worldwide through initiatives in clean water and sanitation (WASH), health services, education, food security, livelihoods, and emergency relief. This Finance Manager position offers a hands-on leadership role managing the organization's day-to-day financial operations while ensuring full regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.

Role Overview

You will manage financial operations in close collaboration with external advisers, program staff, and department heads. Based at the Valley Stream, NY office with hybrid work flexibility, this position is central to keeping the organization running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Track and maintain financial data, invoicing, payroll records, and bank statements
• Develop annual budgetary plans and implement budgetary strategies across the organization
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for senior leadership
• Conduct regular bank and system reconciliations
• Review and maintain internal accounting controls and procedures to protect organizational assets
• Process financial transactions during peak fundraising and program periods
• Organize monthly budget review meetings and prepare official reports
• Demonstrate strong analytical problem-solving and multitasking in a fast-paced nonprofit environment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA certification preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of professional financial management experience
• Familiarity with nonprofit financial regulations and grant management practices
• Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks
• Strong analytical, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask effectively and collaborate across departments
