Food Truck Team Member & Driver

Char'd, a halal food truck brand serving the Washington DC metropolitan area, is hiring a full-time Food Truck Team Member & Driver based in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

This combined driver and food service role requires you to safely operate the food truck between scheduled locations and events, conduct daily vehicle inspections, and maintain the truck in customer-ready condition. During service, you will provide welcoming customer service, take and process orders, prepare food items to Char'd's quality standards (grass-fed halal smashburgers, duck fat fries, and house-made sauces), manage inventory and restocking, and handle opening and closing procedures.

Key responsibilities include

• Safely operating a full-size food truck
• Conducting pre-shift vehicle inspections
• Providing excellent customer service at multiple locations and events
• Preparing food items to brand standards
• Managing inventory, restocking, and supplies
• Maintaining cleanliness and following all food safety and sanitation protocols throughout the mobile kitchen
• Supporting team members during peak service periods
• Representing the Char'd brand professionally with guests

Required qualifications

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Strong customer service skills
• Collaborative team attitude
• Punctuality and reliability
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds in a mobile kitchen environment
• Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and special events

Prior restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required.

Compensation: Starting at $20 per hour based on experience. Full-time, in-person position based out of Gaithersburg, MD 20877.
