General Manager

The Halal Guys, a Muslim-founded halal food brand recognized for bringing halal cuisine to mainstream markets, is recruiting a full-time General Manager for its San Jose/Sunnyvale, California restaurant location. The position operates through the One Olive Group franchise partner.

**Position Overview:**

You will lead all aspects of day-to-day restaurant operations, with accountability for team performance, customer satisfaction, and sales results. As the primary operational leader and on-site representative of The Halal Guys brand, you'll oversee shift management, guest relations, and operational consistency.

**Core Responsibilities:**

• Organize and conduct team meetings and professional development sessions to strengthen team capability and performance
• Track sales metrics and work toward achieving sales objectives
• Build and maintain a positive, mission-aligned workplace culture
• Uphold brand standards, operational procedures, and quality across all restaurant functions
• Manage guest interactions, address concerns, and maintain strong community engagement
• Cover all operational leadership duties when senior leadership is unavailable
• Provide regular performance updates to the Director of Operations

**Physical Demands:**

• Lift and carry loads of 30–50 pounds regularly
• Extended periods of standing, bending, reaching, and scooping activities

**Qualifications & Experience:**

• At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role within food service, hospitality, or retail
• Proven ability to improve team performance and achieve sales goals
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Personal reliable transportation
• High school diploma or equivalent

**Compensation & Schedule:**

• Hourly rate: $26–28 per hour
• Full-time employment with 8-hour shifts
• Monday–Friday base schedule with weekend availability
• Flexible scheduling arrangements
• Tips as part of compensation package
