Role Overview

As Head Nurse, you will lead nursing operations within an assigned ward or unit in the transplant and specialist care environment. This is a senior nursing leadership position combining clinical expertise with team management.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day clinical nursing operations and team performance
• Establish and enforce evidence-based nursing care standards and clinical protocols
• Manage staff rosters, performance appraisals, and professional development plans
• Maintain patient safety, quality of care, and positive clinical outcomes
• Maintain comprehensive, audit-ready nursing records and documentation
• Liaise with senior physicians, transplant surgeons, and hospital administration on clinical and operational matters
• Manage departmental resources and supplies
• Investigate and report clinical incidents
• Contribute to continuous quality-improvement programmes

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years total nursing experience; leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Valid Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) registration
• Nursing qualification at Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery, BSN Generic, or Post-RN BSN level
• Familiarity with specialized clinical environments (ICU, kidney/liver transplant units, dialysis, emergency settings advantageous)
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
