Marketing Associate

ArRahma Foundation is an Islamic charitable organization based at Masjid Ēsa Ibn Maryam in South Birmingham. We are seeking a full-time Marketing Associate (35 hours per week) to strengthen our community outreach, fundraising campaigns, and digital presence.

About the Role

You will be responsible for developing and executing marketing activities across multiple channels, with a strong focus on community engagement and faith-based messaging. This is a diverse role combining content creation, digital management, strategic planning, and community representation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop engaging content for social media, email campaigns, and community events
• Support major fundraising campaigns, including seasonal initiatives around Ramadan, Dhul Hijjah, and other key periods
• Create marketing materials for local partnerships and community outreach efforts
• Represent the foundation at community events and in-person outreach activities
• Manage and maintain the organization's website using WordPress
• Oversee digital communications via email (Mailchimp), social media, and WhatsApp
• Research market trends and analyze competitor activity
• Develop marketing strategies and provide recommendations to strengthen messaging and outreach

What We're Looking For

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of social media platforms and analytics
• Proficiency (or willingness to learn) with Canva, Mailchimp, and WordPress
• Website management and development experience
• Understanding of Islamic values and community dynamics to ensure content aligns with foundation ethos
• Self-starter mentality with creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently

What We Offer

• Salary: £24,000–£32,000 per annum (based on experience)
• Full-time position, 35 hours per week
