Marketing & Social Media Manager

Masjid DarusSalam, an Islamic mosque and educational institution in Lombard, Illinois, seeks an experienced full-time Marketing & Social Media Manager to lead all digital communications and community outreach initiatives.

You will develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with the masjid's mission and Islamic values. Key responsibilities include:

• Creating and managing daily content across Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, and LinkedIn, maintaining a cohesive and engaging digital presence
• Monitoring analytics and web traffic to measure campaign performance and community engagement
• Responding to community inquiries and comments to foster active dialogue
• Managing YouTube video metadata, publishing workflows, and content distribution
• Preparing weekly trend reports and insights for organizational leadership
• Building and maintaining strategic content calendars
• Overseeing paid social campaigns and coordinating influencer partnerships
• Training and coordinating volunteers to support content creation and community management
• Integrating multiple marketing channels into a unified digital strategy

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited North American institution
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in marketing or social media management
• Proficiency in analytics interpretation and translating data into actionable insights for stakeholders
• Expertise in editing software and Google and Microsoft tool suites
• Strong working knowledge of SEO principles and Google Analytics
• Comprehensive understanding of online marketing channels and social media best practices
• Familiarity with web design and design principles
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Fluent written and oral English communication
• Willingness to travel occasionally as needed
