Meat Department Manager

OJ's Halal Meat, a halal butchery and meat retail operation in Edmonton, Alberta, is hiring a permanent full-time Meat Department Manager. This on-site role oversees all aspects of the halal meat department's daily retail operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervising a team of 5 to 10 staff members
• Managing merchandise procurement and maintaining appropriate inventory levels
• Implementing and managing pricing strategies
• Making staffing decisions, including hiring and scheduling
• Resolving customer complaints and addressing supply chain issues
• Ensuring high operational standards in a fast-paced retail environment
• Working across all shifts (morning, day, evening, and weekends)

Requirements

• Secondary school diploma (minimum)
• 3 to 5 years of relevant retail or management experience
• Strong English language proficiency
• Ability to work on-site
