Job Description
Natixis, a leading global investment bank and subsidiary of Groupe BPCE, is seeking a Middle Office Specialist to support its dedicated Islamic Finance desk in Dubai. This permanent, full-time role serves as the operational bridge between Global Market Sales and Structuring teams and middle/back-office functions, ensuring compliant and seamless handling of Sharia-compliant financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute Commodity Murabaha trades with commodity brokers, ensuring alignment with the firm's Islamic finance policy
- Validate trade bookings for complex Islamic structured products and map shadow conventional risk tickets
- Draft and issue trade confirmations, including Designated Future Transactions (DFT)
- Control cash flow settlements and reconcile balances post-trade with full audit trail maintenance
- Perform daily cash and securities balance verification
- Document operational workflows and procedures for new Sharia-compliant products
- Liaise between structuring team, Sharia auditors, and compliance officers
- Lead system testing initiatives for new product launches
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Banking, Islamic Jurisprudence, or related field
- Minimum 6 years of experience in global markets operations
- Hands-on exposure to IRS, FX derivatives, Repo, and structured deposits
- Demonstrated proficiency with core banking and front-to-back systems (Murex, Calypso, or Kondor+)
- Working knowledge of Islamic financial products including Murabaha and Wa'ad
- Native or professional-level English fluency; business-level Arabic is advantageous
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in Python or Alteryx
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Meticulous attention to detail and automation mindset
- Strong collaborative and communication skills
