Audio is one of the most powerful ways we connect with students. As the Podcast Coordinator, you are the producer behind the voices of our scholars.
You aren’t just uploading files; you are managing the entire lifecycle of our audio content. From scheduling the recording with a busy scholar to hitting “publish” on Spotify and Apple Podcasts, you ensure that our listeners get high-quality, beneficial content on a reliable schedule.
Own the podcast publishing calendar. You ensure that episodes are planned, recorded, and released on time, every time
Coordinate directly with resident scholars and guest speakers to schedule recording sessions. You handle the logistics so they can focus on the knowledge
Serve as the bridge between the Content, Media, and Scholar teams
Act as the final quality check. You listen to episodes before they go live to ensure they meet our audio standards and editorial guidelines
Verify that all metadata (titles, descriptions, show notes) is accurate, engaging, and SEO-friendly
Ensure the content aligns with SeekersGuidance’s mission and Islamic ethos
Oversee the post-production process. Whether you are doing light editing or managing an editor, you ensure the final product sounds crisp
Manage the distribution pipeline. You are responsible for uploading episodes to hosting platforms and ensuring they syndicate correctly to Apple, Spotify, and Google
Stay on top of podcasting trends. You identify new opportunities to grow our audience and improve the listener experience
Monitor download stats and listener feedback to see what is working and what needs adjustment
Consistency: 100% adherence to the release schedule (no missed deadlines)
Quality: Zero episodes published with audio defects or incorrect metadata
Scholar Satisfaction: Seamless booking and recording experiences for our guest speakers
Growth: Month-over-month increase in unique downloads and subscribers
Bilingual: You are fluent in both English and Arabic (written and verbal). You can comfortably coordinate with scholars and understand Arabic terminology within the content
Audio-Savvy: You know your way around audio editing software (Audacity, Adobe Audition, etc.) and understand RSS feeds and hosting platforms
Highly Organized: You can manage multiple show schedules simultaneously without getting flustered
A Fan of the Medium: You listen to podcasts and understand what makes a “good” episode
Mission-Driven: You are passionate about spreading Islamic scholarship and understand the weight of the content we produce
