**Post Doctoral Fellow – Computer Science, Secure Machine Learning**

Khalifa University of Science and Technology, a UAE federal government research university based in Abu Dhabi, seeks a Post Doctoral Fellow in Computer Science for a three-year funded research initiative focused on secure and privacy-preserving machine learning in decentralized networks.

**Research Focus**

The research project explores advanced cryptographic techniques — including homomorphic encryption, secure multi-party computation (SMPC), and differential privacy — and their integration to enable secure machine learning systems in distributed network environments. Applications span healthcare data analysis, financial systems, and distributed artificial intelligence.

**Primary Responsibilities**

• Conduct hands-on research including software development, systematic literature reviews, and exploration of new research directions within the project domain
• Assist with development of funding proposals to expand the research programme
• Mentor PhD and Master's students within the research group
• Coordinate research engineers' work on project activities
• Participate in research centre activities and conference organization
• Present research findings in written manuscripts and oral presentations

**Required Qualifications**

• PhD in Computer Science or related field
• Strong background in computer science fundamentals
• Demonstrated proficiency in programming
• Hands-on experience with both machine learning and blockchain or decentralized systems technologies
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for research dissemination
• Proven ability to manage and coordinate research team members
