Yaqeen Institute, a leading Islamic research organization dedicated to producing evidence-based, academically rigorous content addressing doubts about Islam and empowering Muslims worldwide, is seeking a Product Quality Specialist for its Engineering team. This full-time position (40 hours per week) offers hybrid flexibility in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, or complete remote work from anywhere globally.
In this role, you will execute comprehensive testing across all digital products, including functional, exploratory, and regression test suites. You will leverage modern AI-assisted testing tools such as Testim, Applitools, and Playwright to generate test cases efficiently, detect regressions, and surface issues quickly. Your responsibilities extend beyond testing—you will participate in early-stage product planning discussions to proactively identify quality risks before development begins, ensuring quality is built in from the start.
Key responsibilities include documenting bugs with clear reproduction steps and appropriate severity classifications for the engineering team, leading release demonstrations and stakeholder walkthroughs to obtain sign-off on new product releases, and maintaining comprehensive testing documentation while upholding quality standards across all product lines.
Required qualifications: Prior experience in QA, product testing, or a related product-facing or client-facing role. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proven experience conducting release walkthroughs or presenting to non-technical stakeholders. A user-focused quality mindset.
Preferred qualifications: Familiarity with AI-powered testing platforms (Testim, Applitools, Playwright). Background in SaaS or startup environments. Experience with observability and error-tracking tools such as Sentry or Datadog.
All new hires complete a three-month probationary period. The hiring process includes a technical assessment following the initial screening interview.
