Al-Azhar Islamic Academy (AIA) is seeking a professional, organized, and welcoming School Secretary to serve as the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to supporting a positive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and assist parents, students, visitors, and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
Manage incoming phone calls, emails, and school correspondence.
Maintain student records, attendance, and enrollment documentation.
Assist with student registration and admissions processes.
Prepare letters, reports, newsletters, and school communications.
Support tuition billing, payment tracking, and financial recordkeeping.
Manage office supplies and coordinate purchasing requests.
Assist with scheduling meetings, events, and school activities.
Maintain confidential student and personnel records.
Coordinate with teachers and administration regarding school operations.
Support compliance documentation for accreditation, licensing, and school programs.
Assist with transportation, lunch programs, and other school services as needed.
Perform other administrative duties assigned by the Principal.
High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
Previous experience in an educational, administrative, or office setting preferred.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Experience with student information systems or school management software is a plus.
Bilingual (English/Arabic) is preferred but not required.
