Security Engineer – Smart Contract Auditor for CAIZ, an Islamic blockchain ecosystem focused on creating Fiqh-compliant financial products.

Role Overview

This fully remote, full-time position safeguards the integrity and security of CAIZ's blockchain ecosystem. You will conduct comprehensive security assessments of smart contracts and blockchain protocols, identify vulnerabilities, and prevent exploitation before it occurs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough audits of smart contracts and blockchain protocols, identifying vulnerabilities such as reentrancy attacks, integer overflow/underflow, and logic errors
• Implement and enforce security best practices throughout the development lifecycle
• Collaborate with developers on architecture reviews to embed security from inception
• Perform penetration testing on blockchain applications and decentralised finance (DeFi) protocols
• Write detailed, actionable audit reports for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Monitor deployed contracts for emerging threats and anomalous behaviour
• Educate and train development teams on secure coding practices

Requirements & Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional experience in blockchain security, smart contract auditing, or cybersecurity
• Strong proficiency in Ethereum, Solidity, and EVM-compatible blockchains
• Hands-on auditing experience with DeFi protocols, staking contracts, NFTs, or DAOs
• Expertise with security tools including MythX, Slither, and Foundry
• Solid knowledge of cryptographic principles and penetration testing methodologies
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
• Fluent English with strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
