Misaq is building the marriage app for Muslims—a Delaware-incorporated startup with a founding team, over 1 million organic views, and a mission-first, remote-first culture built on amanah (honesty and sincerity). The app operates on a covenant model: one verified match at a time, with the wali (guardian) involved from first contact, and payment only when both parties mutually accept.
**The Role**
As a senior app developer, you'll own the entire app end to end alongside the founders. This is a founding engineer path with real ownership: you drive architecture, build, release, and the hard product decisions that come with handling identity documents and private conversations. You'll ship the core user journey—profiles, verification, supervised chat, and the wali dashboard—rather than picking up tickets from a backlog.
**What You'll Do**
- Own the app architecture and codebase
- Ship core features: user profiles, identity verification, supervised messaging, wali dashboard
- Make real product decisions that affect how Muslims approach marriage
- Collaborate directly with the founding team with no middle layers
- Release to App Store and Google Play
**What You'll Need**
- Minimum 3 years of app development experience
- Production apps shipped and in users' hands
- Genuine care for the people using your product (this role touches marriage intentions, families, and identity documents—the bar is higher)
