Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Tarteel AI is a Muslim-founded technology company dedicated to helping Muslims strengthen their relationship with the Quran through AI-powered tools. Their flagship product uses machine learning to analyze Quranic recitations in real time, identify errors, and provide corrective guidance to users worldwide. We seek a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join a small, mission-driven engineering team reporting directly to the CTO.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain public-facing and internal web and backend applications across the full stack
• Deliver new features independently with minimal guidance, working cross-functionally across the organization
• Write clean, maintainable code adhering to software engineering best practices
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and scalability challenges; drive architectural improvements
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical mentorship to team members

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of professional full-stack development experience
• Proficient in JavaScript with strong hands-on React experience
• Competent in Python and SQL
• Solid understanding of web architecture, design patterns, and software principles
• Proficient with Git version control
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automated deployment pipelines
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Availability Monday–Thursday, 8am–12pm Eastern time

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Next.js or TanStack Query
• Django backend framework expertise
• PostgreSQL database design and optimization
• React Native for cross-platform mobile development
