AL-AZHAR ISLAMIC ACADEMY (AIA) is seeking passionate, student-centered educators to join our growing school community. We are hiring full-time subject teachers for upper elementary and middle grades (Grades 4–7) in Mathematics, Science, English Language Arts (ELA), and Social Studies.
Start Date: August 2026
Plan and deliver high-quality instruction aligned with California Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and applicable frameworks.
Create a structured, respectful, and engaging classroom environment that promotes student learning and responsibility.
Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners, including English Learners and students needing academic intervention.
Use formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and guide instruction.
Maintain effective classroom management and student supervision.
Collaborate professionally with colleagues, administration, and families.
Integrate social-emotional learning, positive character development, and school values into instruction.
Maintain accurate grades, lesson plans, and student records.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities.
Bachelor's degree required
Teaching credential preferred but not required for qualified private school candidates
Experience teaching elementary or middle school students preferred
Strong classroom management and instructional skills
Ability to teach subject-specific content effectively
