Institutional Giving Manager – CAIR-CA

About the Role

CAIR-CA is seeking an experienced Institutional Giving Manager to lead strategy for expanding foundation, corporate, and government funding. This is a full-time, on-site management position based in Anaheim, California, with significant responsibility across the grants and institutional funding lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead institutional funding strategy across foundation, corporate, and government sources
  • Manage the complete funding pipeline: cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and relationship building with major funders
  • Conduct strategic prospect research to identify new funding opportunities and evaluate funder fit
  • Develop compelling grant proposals and detailed budgets for institutional funders
  • Oversee grant portfolio management, including forecasting and pipeline development
  • Administer awarded grants with full compliance to funder requirements and reporting obligations
  • Evaluate and streamline grants management systems and workflows to improve organisational efficiency
  • Build and maintain relationships with foundation partners and government agencies
  • Coordinate funder site visits and facilitate meetings between donors and senior leadership
  • Provide strategic guidance on philanthropic trends, best practices, and funding landscape developments
  • Supervise and mentor fundraising staff

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum five years of institutional fundraising, grant writing, or nonprofit development experience
  • At least two years of staff supervision and management experience
  • Proven track record of securing six- and seven-figure grants
  • Demonstrated expertise in grant portfolio management and financial reporting
  • Exceptional grant writing and storytelling abilities
  • Strong strategic planning and project management skills
  • Proficiency with grants management software, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of the philanthropy landscape and current funding trends
  • Ability to travel within Southern California

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of civil rights, social justice, and Muslim community issues
  • Master's degree or advanced professional certification in nonprofit management or fundraising
