The Staff Attorney will lead the organization’s legal efforts in three interconnected areas of impact:
Direct client representation
Pro bono program support
Legal outreach and fundraising
You will coordinate legal activity, develop advocacy strategies, manage legal interns, and serve as a public face for the organization’s civil rights work. The ideal candidate is a compassionate human rights advocate with litigation or employment discrimination experience, ready to work collaboratively in a team environment.
What You'll Do
Providing direct legal services to clients in areas of focus, which include, but is not limited to civil rights, employment, immigration, anti-discrimination cases, etc.
Engaging in community outreach, education, and legal clinics.
Conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, and representing clients.
Collaborating with the National organization, partner organizations and advocacy coalitions.
Serving as a representative in media engagements, including press conferences and interviews concerning legal matters.
