Teachers Wanted – Full-Time Elementary (Grades 2-4) and Part-Time Middle School

Woodbridge Islamic School in Virginia is hiring full-time elementary teachers (Grades 2-4) and part-time middle school teachers. The school seeks dedicated educators committed to student-centered instruction within an Islamic educational framework.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and tailored to student needs
• Set clear learning objectives and explain concepts in accessible ways
• Assess student progress using multiple methods: classwork, homework, quizzes, tests, and projects
• Grade work promptly, maintain accurate student records, and update the online gradebook regularly
• Analyze assessment data to identify learning gaps and adjust instruction accordingly
• Establish and maintain clear classroom routines that foster a respectful, productive learning environment
• Supervise students during class, transitions, and assigned duties
• Communicate professionally and frequently with families about progress, assignments, and concerns
• Maintain organized lesson plans, instructional materials, and required documentation
• Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership; attend meetings and participate in professional development
• Support school events and related duties that align with student learning and school operations

**Required Qualifications:**

• Bachelor's degree
• 3-4 years of classroom teaching experience
• Strong subject-matter knowledge and classroom management skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction for students at various learning levels
• Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and strong work ethic
• Commitment to supporting the school's Islamic values and educational mission

**Compensation and Terms:**

• Hourly rate: $25.00–$35.00
• Up to 40 hours per week
